What we train

  • Rotational power: medicine-ball throws, strength training and core work.
  • Speed: starts and sprint mechanics for short base paths.
  • Shoulder care: upper-back and rotator cuff strength and good mobility.
  • Lower-body strength and landing: for powerful swings and safer cutting and fielding.
  • By position: leg drive and shoulder endurance for pitchers, and leg strength and hip mobility for catchers.

Why it helps

  • Female athletes are generally considered at higher risk of ACL injuries, which makes lower-body strength and good movement mechanics worth the time.
  • Shoulder work and planned rest help players handle throwing and pitching volume.
  • We maintain strength in season and build strength and speed in the off-season.

How it works

Every high school and college athlete starts with an evaluation of their individual strengths and weaknesses. Group sessions run 80 minutes: 40 minutes of strength work and 40 minutes of speed and conditioning on our 6,000 sq ft indoor turf at 180 Bloomfield Ave, Floor 3, in Montclair. We recommend two to four sessions a week, depending on whether an athlete is in or out of season. Younger softball players build the base in our Youth and Junior High programs, and older players train in High School + College. Want one-on-one coaching or a session for a whole team? Parent FAQs

What about catchers?

Catchers spend a lot of time in a deep squat, so leg strength, hip mobility and recovery work are especially important.

Do softball pitchers need arm care too?

Yes. Windmill pitching places repeated demands on the shoulder, so strength, mobility and rest all matter.

How can my daughter hit with more power?

Lower-body and rotational strength, medicine-ball work and good swing mechanics.

Can she train during travel season?

Yes, at a lower volume, to stay strong and fresh.

Tell us about your athlete, their position and their goals, and we'll build a plan.
